The Bear Gallery and Crane Estate Submissions

Starting Tuesday, October 18, The Bear Gallery will start taking in submissions of student art for the show at the Crane Estate. Work should be brought to The Bear Gallery in the Student Village Basment from October 18 to October 26. Work should be ready to hang and clean. This means paintings should be wired, work on paper should be fixed and clean. For any work that has special installation requirements please feel free to email len.thomas-vickory@montserrat.edu. The submission forms will be on the desk to the left when you enter. Please fill out the form in full so that it can be properly identified. Any work that is not properly prepared will not be brought to the Crane Estate.

This show is a part of a larger show that the Crane Estate hold each Fall. This year the exhibit will be open on November 5 and 6. All current students and alumni are encouraged to submit work and attend the show. This is an excellent way to gain exhibit experience and show work in an off campus location.

The Bear Gallery, in the Student Village, will keeep its' doors open for the remainder of the semester in an effort to allow more viewing times for the school comminity. The currrent show on display is :All Wound Up." An excellent survey of drawings from students. Also, this Friday, October 21 the Bear Gallery will be hosting another reception at thier satellite space at 238 Cabot Street from 6:00 to 9:30. This show is "The Mystery Show" and hosted by student Peter Faasse. Live music will be present this evening.
